GAMBIER, Ohio — Kenyon College welcomes SoloDuo, a musical group featuring Italian guitarists Matteo Mela and Lorenzo Micheli, for a free concert Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. in Rosse Hall, 105 College Drive.
SoloDuo has performed throughout Europe, Asia, the U.S., Canada and Latin America. The group’s repertoire includes classic, romantic and modern songs as well as Italian music from the 17th and 18th centuries. Since 2015, Mela and Micheli have been artists-in-residence at the University of Colorado Boulder.
The group is expected to play Domenico Scarlatti’s “Tre Sonate,” Claude Debussy’s “Suite Bergamasque” and Joaquín Rodrigo’s “Tonadilla,” among other works.
This event is part of the Warner Concert Series, sponsored by the Kenyon Department of Music and the Charlotte Warner Chamber Music Fund, established in memory of Charlotte Collins Warner, the wife of longtime history professor H. Landon Warner.
