NEWARK, Ohio – The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art and Technology will host FIRST(r) Robotics Day on Saturday, May 20, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the museum main facility at 55 S. 1st, Street, Newark, Ohio. All members of the public are invited to attend this family-friendly event to get an inside look at the very popular FIRST(r) robotics programs from current local team members representing FIRST(r) LEGO(r) League (grades 4-8), FIRST(r) Tech Challenge (grades 7-12), and FIRST(r) Robotics Competition (grades 9-12). Learn how FIRST(r) robotics builds students’ STEM skills, confidence, teamwork, and public speaking skills, as well as how to join and start teams, costs, and time commitments. No prior robotics experience is necessary to join any level of FIRST(r) robotics. The event is free with regular paid Works’ admission: $10 adults; $8 seniors; $6 children; under 2 free; free for Works’ members.
