The Knox County Safety Council is pleased to announce the launch of the Run. Hide. Fight. Active Shooter Training Video Series.
With active killer instances occurring throughout the United States and other countries, the Knox County Safety Council decided to develop a series of short videos that anyone may use to be ready in the event that an active killer enters a place of business, home, or place of worship. With the help of Ariel Corporation, Kenyon College, Knox County 9-1-1, Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Knox County Commissioners, Knox County Job and Family Services and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation this series has become a reality. Directed and produced by Kokosing River Productions and ICONN the training series is accessible online by visiting knoxsafetycouncil.com, click on training videos. A downloadable facilitator guide is also available. We encourage everyone to utilize the training modules to prepare yourself. One can never be too prepared.
Knox County Safety Council is a program of the Ohio BWC, and is facilitated by the Knox County Chamber of Commerce. State fund employers may earn up to a four percent discount on their annual premiums for meeting certain eligibility requirements. The program is open to any business interested in safety awareness and prevention in the workplace. Safety Council holds monthly meetings and featured speakers address issues of on-the-job safety.
