Robogirls at The Works

Create your own robot

Newark, Ohio, Feb.1, 2017- The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology is still accepting registrations for its next Girls Night In program, “Robogirls,” on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 5:30-7:30 p.m. for youth grades 4-6, and Tuesday, Feb. 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m. for youth grades 7-9. Ever wonder how scientists are able to develop and create robots? This program will allow youth to create and take home their very own robot, explore coding and color language through their robots, and receive an introduction to the FIRST® LEGO® League robotics program.  Admission is free for Works members; $5 per person for non-members. Youth may bring any adult with them to attend the session: parent, older sibling, relative, or friend.

Girls Night In is a regular series of scientific programs created specifically for two youth groups: Junior (Grades 4-6), and Teens (Grades 7-9). Participants will explore scientific questions and conduct experiments through fun, interactive programs shared with their favorite adult. Girls Night In programs will continue through the 2016-2017 school year.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required for all classes. Registration can be completed by phone at 740-349-9277, or in person at The Works, 55 S. 1st Street, Newark, Ohio, 43055.
