NEWARK, Ohio—The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology will present a special evening of art as it premieres the opening of a new gallery exhibit on Friday, October 20, 5 – 7 p.m. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Artists’ receptions will be held from 5 -7 p.m. that evening at The Works, 55 S. 1st Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.
Visit The Works’ Main Gallery to see “Constellation,” by a group of artists from Sunbear Studios and Gallery. Like the great Ursa Major, a constellation of the night sky, this collection of artists brings a connected display of light, reflection, and brilliance! The constellation of art in this exhibit includes assemblage, collage, leather, painting, pottery, and sculpture, all created by artists currently showing their work at Sunbear. Gaze on our constellation and enjoy the sparkling images, objects and talent.
Exhibit dates: October 20 – December 30, 2017. Free and open to the public.
The Works’ gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Visit www.attheworks.org or more.
